Freezing Level: 1700 metres in the north, sloping to 1200 metres in the south then rising to 2300 metres everywhere this evening.
Fiordland National Park: Cloudy periods, with isolated showers in the south. Occasional rain developing this evening, with snow to 1200 metres. Remaining mountain areas: Fine, apart from areas of morning cloud. Winds: Light winds at first. Westerlies developing in the afternoon, rising to gale about Fiordland in the evening.
Freezing Level: About 1200 metres, rising to 1800 metres this evening.
