Whakapapa

show full reporthide full reportUpdated: 9:26am Monday 14 Oct 2019 - The cloud is slowly moving in which is starting to effect visibility... on the upper mountain. With a freeze overnight snow conditions will be firm at first that will release throughout the day for some awesome spring skiing and riding! Lifts are all OPEN this morning. Update on Far West - it has now been confirmed that the damage to the cable as a result of an ice release cannot be repaired and so a new cable will be needed. This cannot be sourced and made within the period between now and the end of the winter season. Our team worked hard this week alongside some wire rope specialists and explored every avenue. Please go to our FB page for more detailed information. The good news is that we have decided to extend some weekend skiing and boarding on the Valley T for the month of November!
